ISP Firewalling

Well... ISP's generally have firewalls between their server farm and
the rest of the world (except for fnord.net which is, I believe,
behind a filtering router at erols).  The rest of erols dialup users
(me included) are outside the firewall.  I was doing some probing from
home (where I had the linux box and therefore the tools) against the
servers I was running at a former employers and never had a peep from
anything at erols.

Be advised, though, that erols is rumored to have some sort of
logging/IDS in place, though what I am not sure.
