motherboard morse code

please tell me that a m/board w/ award bios isn't shot if it just beeps
continuously apon pwer up..
I just installed a new m/board (w/ a cyrix 200mhz proc), and it's not
behaving the way I want it to..
yes I should know better..but I'm just trying to verify my thoughts..
the mchine hangs at the bios, and there is no video..( a no brainer)
