Re: ATA 100 drive


Where o where did my IDE drive go?

I have a similar problem with a Gateway 1GHz with a 45GB IBM drive.
SuSE 6.4 says no drive on /dev/hda1 /dev/hda2 /dev/hdb1 /dev/hdb2 ???
(I assume 'vfat' is file system type for Windows 98SE)

Below, I see someones drive was on /dev/hde

The BIOS just has boot from Master1, Slave1, Master2, Slave2,
Floppy, SCSI and CDROM. (Linux installed on SCSI and boots fine.)
