Linux Mips install Help Pls

Interesting problem.  I suppose installing anything will depend on
what sort of bootloader is already in place.  Its not of much help,
but many PowerPC systems have a boot monitor which is able to load &
execute code of floppy or cdrom, providing an avenue for install
programs.  I'd be suprised if yours doesn't have something like that.
It won't have a bios like a PC which is mostly an accident of Wintel.

Mips processors are extensively supported by gcc, as are powerpc's so
I'd be surprised if Linux wouldn't run.  One of the BSD's will
certainly run, but I always forget which is which.
