(N.B.: I don't have a winmodem; in fact, my only dialup modem is a 14.4
I've had since 1993 since my 33.6 got fried in a storm.  Since I'm on
cable modem now, the only thing I know about my current modem is it
works when I type "pon umbc".  :-) )
