Having gotten sendmail up and happy and the relay testers telling me that
it looks ok from that standpoint, I'd like to make sendmail run as
something other than root.
First question is, does it require root? If I can safely chown it to
something else (setuid, I'm guessing), what files and directories to I need
to change also?
I'm guessing, at a minimum:
/etc/mail
/var/spool/mail
/var/log/maillog* (?)
If anyone's done this and could provide a list of impacted files and
directories, I'd appreciate it. (Or, if anyone can justify sendmail
running as root, that works too...)
Thanks..

Q: How many programmers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. That's a hardware problem.
