Swap Meet

Starting in Spring 2025, we have begun an annual collaboration with one of our fellow student orgs the System Administration and Software Development Club (SAD) to host a SWAP meet. This event provides an opportunity for students and alumni to; buy, sell, trade, and give away tech! It has turned into a great way for students to start their Linux or home-lab journey.

InstallFest

InstallFest is our yearly outreach event in which we setup in the commons to spread the word about Linux and FOSS, providing people with resources, advice, and USB drives to start their Linux journey with.

LAN Night

LAN Night is a new event focused on local multiplayer gaming natively on Linux. We promote Linux gaming and demonstrate tools like Proton, Wine, and Lutris. We’ll set up a simple LAN for everyone to connect and play together. The event is open to all students and alumni.

Bin/Bash Day

Each October, club members and alumni meet at Sorento’s of Arbutus to celebrate the club’s founding in 1997.
